Ledbury’s shirt offerings are about to be expanded, with their recent acquisition of Creery Custom Shirts.
Paul Trible, co-founder and chief executive officer at Ledbury, said that the company’s goal has always been to become ‘makers’ that continue a tradition of shirt making excellence.
“From the very beginning, our goal has been to be more than just designers and marketers of clothing. We have always wanted to become makers,” he said. “That’s why we worked alongside a master tailor in London before starting Ledbury, and that’s what led us to the purchase of Creery and the development of our own Richmond workshop.”
Now that the two companies have combined forces, Ledbury will sell ready-to-wear shirts that can be purchased online, called The Commonwealth Collection. The company’s tailors will also design individualized shirts for clients, and will provide them with two fittings before production. Available exclusively in Richmond, the shirts will be priced around $300.
This is the first acquisition for Ledbury, which is based in Richmond, VA. Creery is also located in Richmond.
In terms of operation, Creery’s three-person staff will join the Ledbury team. The newly merged company will also recruit additional hires as they expand.
The details of the acquisition have not yet been released.
